Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions
‘The Company’
means SunRise Blinds & Conservatories Ltd.
‘Order form’ means the Order form of the Company signed by the Purchaser.
‘The Purchaser’ means the person named on the Order form.
‘Installation Address’ means the address for installation of products on the Order form or as otherwise notified in writing to the Company.
‘Installers/Fitters’ means employees or other sub-contractors of the Company who are identified by their ID card.
‘Installation/Fitting Date’ means the date when the Company’s products are installed.
‘Products’ means the Company’s items offered for sale.

2. The headings are for identification & clarification purposes only & shall not be used in the construction of these terms & conditions.

3. Orders are accepted only upon & subject to the Company’s terms & conditions. No other terms & conditions will apply.
All samples used by representatives are simply to illustrate the composition & manufacture of the Company’s products. All products on the Order form will be accurately measured & manufactured within the recommended limits of the material used. The Company reserves the right to modify any product to meet these limits.

4. The Company will endeavour to meet all special requests by the Purchaser which must be in writing & approved by the Company. Any additional costs arising there from will be at the cost of the Purchaser.

5. The Purchaser shall pay a 30% deposit (non-refundable) with order and the balance is due immediately upon the completed installation. The Company reserves the right to charge interest for late payment at the rate of 2.5% per month, calculated on a daily basis, from the installation date until full payment is received. The Installers/Fitters are authorised to accept payment on behalf of the Company in the form of cash or cheque and will sign the Order form as a receipt for the same. Cheques should be made payable to SunRise Blinds & Conservatories Ltd and crossed ‘A/C payee’.

6. The Company can accept payment by debit/credit card. The Purchaser must telephone the Company’s offices as detailed on the Order form prior to completion of installation to pay any balance due. A charge of 2% will be levied against any credit card payments. Debit card payments are free from any charges.

7. The Company reserves the right to refuse to fit/install the products if full payment is not available on or prior to the fitting/installation date. All products shall remain the property of the Company until payment in full is received.

8. The prices for the Company’s products include fitting/installation and VAT at the current rate where applicable. The Company will only fit/install products which the Company has measured for.

9. The Company reserves the right to cancel any order at any time for any reason by refunding the deposit paid.

10. The fitting/installation will take place at the earliest date as agreed by both the Company and the Purchaser. The Company will not be liable for any delay due to circumstances beyond its control

11. For fitting/installation purposes we will offer the Purchaser a 3 hour slot in which the fitter/installer may arrive. It will not be possible to give an exact time of arrival due to the nature of the work undertaken.

12. The Company will make good any plaster disturbed by installation of blinds or other products being fitted/installed, but cannot colour match any materials such as tiles, paint or wallpaper. Internal decorating shall be the responsibility of the Purchaser.

13. It is assumed by the Company that the structures to which the Company’s products are to be fitted/installed are sound and fit for the purpose of being fixed to. No responsibility will be accepted for any damage resulting from structural defects whether visible or hidden, which existed before installation work commenced.

14. The Purchaser will be responsible for removing internal fittings including furniture & ornaments as requested by the Company & arranging suitable access to allow the installation to be accurately & efficiently carried out.

15. The Company cannot accept any responsibility for damage to electrical, telephone or television cables that are attached to or pass through the area of installation.

16. The Purchaser shall notify the Company within 7 days of the installation date in writing of any claim for damage caused to the Purchaser’s property otherwise no claims will be entertained.

17. These terms & conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law and the Purchaser hereby submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

18. These terms & conditions do not and will not affect the Purchaser’s statutory rights where the Purchaser is a consumer.

GUARANTEE

The Company’s products are guaranteed for repair or replacement at the Company’s discretion against manufacturing defects and installation faults as follows:-

Internal Blinds 12 months parts & labour
Conservatory Roof Blinds 2 years parts & labour
External Awnings/Canopies 5 year parts & 1 year labour
Fly Screens 1 year parts & labour

This guarantee does not cover mis-use, is not transferable and relates to the original installation only. Conservatory Roof Blinds must be operated at least once a fortnight - failure to comply invalidates the guarantee and constitutes mis-use.
